Badge & verification system

Badge types

Cleaning, First Aid, Vulnerable Care, Driving, Languages, Night Shift — each with color, icon, unlocked categories.

Document verification

ID, criminal record, medical, references. Admin verifies with digital signature. Audit trail per badge.

Expiry notifications

Auto-notify volunteers 30/7/1 days before badge expiry. Daily cron auto-expires lapsed badges.

Access gating

Volunteers can take a "Care Category" assignment only if they hold the required badge. Admin override for emergencies.

Incident workflow

Complaints, damages, breaches — workflow: open → investigating → hearing → resolved. Auto-suspend badges on high severity.

Public onboarding

Public landing page at /voluntar with QR code generator. Questionnaire, email verification, admin notification, 7-day follow-up cron.

End-to-end onboarding flow: citizen scans QR from a volunteer vest → opens public sign-up → submits profile + questionnaire → receives verification email → clicks "Verify" → logs into the volunteer app → auto-receives Cleaning badge → admin gets notified → contacts within 7 days → discusses additional badges → volunteer brings documents → admin certifies → new badges activate.
